Gift of Pain

Gift of Pain is a 3D action-packed game where players assume the role of Mall Santa, tasked with maintaining order during a chaotic holiday season. Mall Santa must confront unruly children armed with gifts and utilize his Santa strength, performing wrestling moves to protect the mall and preserve the holiday spirit.


Lead Game Developer

• Collaborated with a team of four members to create a 3D action game where users play as Mall Santa, battling waves of children with dangerous gifts.
• Served as Lead Programmer, overseeing player and enemy game mechanics, debugging processes, and enhancing game elements and experiences.
• Oversaw the implementation of power-ups and level progression systems, ensuring engaging gameplay experiences.
• Assisted in the 3D modeling of environmental props, contributing by designing and refining interactive elements, UV maps, and textures.

Boxman: The Video Game

As Boxman, play as one of the last protectors of the galaxy tasked to defeat various evil foes controlled by a diabolical Diamond that threatens all life in the universe. There are many mysteries to uncover in the universe of Boxman from rips seemingly forming within the fabric of space, to uncovering to true origin of ancient powerful beings!


Lead Programmer

• Coordinated with a team of five individuals to create a 2D side scroller/top-down action game where players control Boxman who is tasked with interactive challenges to defeat enemies.
• Appointed Lead Programmer where tasks included programming, debugging, and enhancing overall game aspects and perspective experiences.
• Conceptualized, designed, and modified main levels, player and enemy combat and movement mechanics.
• Led play testing sessions and gathered feedback to iteratively improve game mechanics and overall user experience.

Drawdio

Drawdio is a mobile drawing application where users build visual & sonic environments by selecting a background, drawing & placing stickers. Each background, sticker, and brush stroke create audio that work together to build a layered musical composition. Drawdio aims to improve the mood of college students through self expression, playful engagement, and creative empowerment.


Lead Game Developer / Associate UI Developer

• A 2D digital illustration app that allows users to create visual and auditory environments by choosing backgrounds, drawing, and placing stickers.
• Collaborated with a team of 5 to focus on the project's inclusion of art and interactive electronic music therapies.
• Developed core features including line drawing, color adjustments, undo/clear options, stickers, and interactive music.
• Designed UI/UX elements like the navigation bar, background selectors, and color tabs, and conducted user testing to improve the app.

The Dining Room (VR)

In The Dining Room (VR), users are able to view individually created assets and immerse themselves in a nostalgic environment. Players are able to walk around through teleportation, and they are able to pick up plates or move chairs and toss them to their desired locations.


VR Developer

• Immersive virtual experience where users can interact with a 3D environmental model of a Victorian-inspired dining room.
• Optimized and refined hard surface model geometry of custom scenery props.
• Role included programming and demonstrating Unity's VR capabilities using XR packages while collaborating with another individual.
• Showcased the demo to a Game Development class, as part of the Learning Assistant curriculum.

Tic-Tac-Toe

Tic-Tac-Toe is a playable/virtual game lets two players take turns marking Xs and Os on a 3x3 grid, aiming to be the first to align their three symbols horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. The game ends when one player wins or all cells are filled, resulting in a draw.


Game Developer

• Designed and implemented a playable Tic-Tac-Toe game for two users, using sprites to create the grid and X/O objects.
• Developed functionality for placing pieces based on mouse clicks, ensuring placement in valid locations and preventing overwrites.
• Programmed turn-based mechanics to alternate between players and incorporated win/stalemate detection with result presentation.
• Created and presented as a demonstration of Unity's 2D capabilities, as part of the Learning Assistant curriculum.

Baking In The Woods

Game Developer

• Designed and implemented a first-person playable prototype exploring the theme “My Life Then, Now, and Future.”
• Enabled camera movement using the mouse and player movement with W/A/S/D or arrow keys.
• Incorporated interactive elements to reflect personal growth, preferences, and coping with change.
• Polished the prototype to enhance user experience and thematic expression.
